Bond Projects Move Forward
Construction progresses on additions to Elkhart Elementary School.
During the summer break, APS will complete bond-funded construction projects at several APS schools.
Bond projects slated for completion in August include:
- Whole building remodels at Altura, Elkhart and Lansing elementary schools
- A new water piping system at Lyn Knoll Elementary
- Roof and swimming pool building repairs at Hinkley High School
Over the summer, work will also continue on the installation of athletic fields at the new Aurora Hills Middle School, which opened in January. The fields will be completed by October 2012.
In addition to construction projects, the bond is funding more than $13.6 million in technology improvements, including new computers, computer network and telephone system upgrades and cutting-edge classroom technology.
