Recently, Dalton Elementary School's ENCORE choir, made up of fourth and fifth graders, participated in the "Music in the Parks" competition and earned a first place trophy and a "Superior" rating. One judge gave the choir a perfect score.

The choir sang "Dynamite," "Secrets of Snow" and "Amani Utupe." The ENCORE choir was presented with their trophy at an awards ceremony held at Elitch Gardens afterwards. The choir will also sing the National Anthem on June 9 at the Colorado Rockies game at 2:10 p.m.
