APS Maintenance Team Guides Pickens Tech Interns
Aurora Public Schools’ Maintenance and Operations HVAC teams do more than just keep our schools comfortable for learning. In addition to their daily tasks of providing safe, well-maintained and comfortable facilities, they are committed to helping students who have an interest in their line of work.
Throughout the 2011-12 school year, staff members Scott Begert, Rodney Faller, Thomas Rohlman and Mervin Walter logged nearly 1,300 hours of hands-on training with student interns from Pickens Technical College. Their work gave students the ability to take classroom knowledge and apply it to practical situations. The intern program continues to grow due to their dedication to APS students, a commitment to the profession and the desire to share knowledge.
