Rangeview High School

Students at Rangeview High School were honored by the Carson J Spencer Foundation recently at the 11th annual Shine Lights of Hope Gala.  The Rangeview DECA class was the winner of the Social Enterprise of the Year award. The students in Linda Count’s E-Commerce class spent the 2014-15 school year creating and managing Life Rocks, a social enterprise that directly connected students struggling with stress and depression to professional help and school-based resources.

With the challenge of developing entrepreneurial strategies to help students combat the forces that lead to teen suicide, the company of students sold Worry Stone necklaces that provided students and the community with a sense of hope through jewelry. At the end of the year the students submitted all of their work to the Carson J Spencer FIRE Within Program and were judged and scored highest of schools throughout Colorado.

Congratulations DECA RAIDERS!
