Bond-Funded Projects Showing Progress Inside and Out!

Anticipation is building for students and staff at Vista PEAK Preparatory 9-12 and the new Mrachek Middle School as contractors complete project exteriors and start on interior construction at both sites.

At Vista PEAK Preparatory, students and staff are excited to see the building's new additions continue to take shape with roofing and brickwork appearing along the exterior of the northwest classroom addition. As construction continues on the school’s exterior, workers inside the building are starting interior renovations by installing new walls in the music room and beginning renovation work for the weight room.

At Mrachek, students and staff are starting to see where their future classrooms will be as walls and roofing are installed in the new building’s grade-level wings. Exterior work for the school’s gymnasium, media center and music room is nearing completion with brickwork and window installations. Framing for the main entrance is underway.

Construction for both sites is possible thanks to voter support of the 2016 bond and is expected to be complete in summer 2018. To learn more about APS bond projects, visit bond.aurorak12.org.
