Aurora Public Schools and Downtown Aurora Visual Arts invite you to the 18th annual Aurora Art Educators show. The exhibit, a professional showcase of APS art educators' artwork, will kick off with its opening reception at DAVA from 4-7:30 p.m. on Jan. 25. After the opening reception, the exhibit will continue through March 16. DAVA is located at 1405 Florence St. The theme for this year is Crosscurrents Between Art and Science.
The annual exhibit gives teachers the opportunity to showcase their talents and come together as artists.
“Over the years, my art making and my teaching became interlinked by the same set of ideas. At this point, my role as an artist is a fundamental element of my teaching and of the classroom experience of my students. Now we explore together as fellow artists,” Montview Art Teacher Jon Olson said.
The exhibit is free and open to the public from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday or by appointment. For more information, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or call DAVA at 303-367-5886.
