Community Resource Fairs on April 25 & May 9 Were a Great Success
Aurora Public Schools recently hosted community health and wellness workshops for parents and students.
Families and community members joined us for special workshops to access resources to support student and family success.
The resource fairs took place at Gateway High School and Jewell Elementary School.
Thanks to all those who helped make these events a success!
Our Hearts Go Out to Those Impacted by the Tragedy in Connecticut
You may have heard about the school shooting that occurred on Dec. 14, in Newtown, Connecticut. Our hearts go out to those affected by this horrific event.
I want to emphasize that our schools are safe, students and families are not alone, and our staff members care.
Aurora Mental Health Center Offers Trauma Support Group
Aurora Mental Health Center is offering a trauma-focused support group for middle and high school students who were presentat the Century 16 theater complex on 7/20/12. The purpose of this group is to give teens an opportunity to talk with others who were in the theater and learn ways to manage trauma symptoms.
Date & Time: Wednesdays from 5-6 pm
