Jewell Opens New Community Library
Jewell Elementary staff, students and parents celebrated the opening of their new community library on May 9. The project was funded with mill levy dollars approved by Aurora voters in November 2012, along with a $5,000 grant from Lowe’s to create a dedicated parent section.

Meadowood Students Celebrate Earth Day
Meadowood Child Development Center recently celebrated Earth Day during the school's monthly Parent Day. Pioneer donated beautiful rocks that students and their families will paint and eventually add to Meadowood's existing rock beds.
In celebration of Earth Day, students planted a tree, donated by Nick’s Garden Center, to provide additional shade on the playground.
