APS Sets Open Houses on Boundary Options

Enrollment changes have led to capacity issues at elementary schools in the southern part of the district. To accommodate some of the growth, Aurora Public Schools is building two new K-8 schools in southeast Aurora. APS has also established a boundary committee to evaluate attendance boundaries for elementary and middle schools in the southern area.

A committee that includes district representatives, parents and community members has developed boundary options to present to the public. Community members are invited to attend any of the open houses listed below to view maps and displays of the boundary options and provide input.

Open house dates and locations are:

Saturday, Dec. 4

9-11 a.m. and 3-5 p.m.

Arkansas Elementary

Thursday, Dec. 9
