"The Little Shop of Physics," sponsored by Colorado State University, is coming to Columbia Middle School on Tuesday, April 18 from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Assisted by CSU staff, students will have the opportunity to participate in more than 80 hands-on physics experiments that deal with light, sound and electricity.
Columbia staff members will honor CSU Professor Dr. Brian Jones for his dedication to bringing the "Little Shop of Physics" program to Aurora Public Schools. This is the tenth year APS students have participated in the program.
"Each year our students are excited about this special event," Columbia science teacher Greg Justis said. "It shows them how much fun science can be."
"The Little Shop of Physics" has been visiting schools in Colorado and neighboring states for more than 12 years, sharing exciting, hands-on science with over 200,000 students.
