West Middle School will hold an open house to celebrate bond-funded improvements completed at the school over the last two years. Community members will have the opportunity to tour the school and see how APS is putting their tax dollars to work.
Bond funds financed a full remodel of the existing West Middle School building and an addition on the south side of the campus. The project also included preservation of the front portion of Historic William Smith High School, the district’s first high school and an Aurora Landmark. Improvements include a new media center, cafeteria, classrooms and administrative offices. The project was funded with bond dollars approved by district voters in 2002.
The event is scheduled on Jan. 30, 5:30-7 p.m., at West Middle School, 10100 13th Ave.
