APS is Transforming College Culture through Innovative Partnership with CSU-Global!

APS is committed to preparing students for college and career success. We are continually building on our college culture and providing more postsecondary opportunities for students.

We are excited to engage in a new innovative partnership with Colorado State University-Global for students to pursue postsecondary education and certificate programs at discounted tuition rates. APS students and recent graduates (Class of 2013 or later) are eligible for an exclusive tuition rate of $250 per credit hour (over 28% off the standard rate of $350 per credit hour). This discount can save families approximately $2400 a year on tuition (based on a typical course load). Students pursuing an undergraduate degree can save approximately $8400! Students may also apply for full-ride scholarships.

Please note: To be considered for admission to undergraduate programs at CSU-Global, high school graduates (or GED equivalent) must meet certain eligibility requirements, including:

  • More than 12 transferable credit hours from an accredited university or college.
  • Grade point average (GPA) of 2.30 or above.

Please visit CSU-Global for additional information about undergraduate admission requirements.

CSU-Global is a completely online, regionally accredited university designed for working adults and offers bachelor’s and master’s degrees, as well as continuing education credit.

Thank you to Aurora voters for making this partnership possible with your support of the 2016 bond measure! The 2016 bond includes funding for a new building to house CSU-Global’s main offices. APS is receiving in-kind lease payments that will provide both free and more affordable post-secondary options for APS students, recent graduates and staff.

Support for Student Success

Every student in APS creates a plan for his or her future. These plans may include pursuing a college degree, certificate program or career credentials. Our teachers, counselors and staff members support students as they develop and implement their plans. In addition, several of our high schools have College and Career Centers that provide invaluable resources for students seeking postsecondary opportunities. Staff members at these centers guide students as they fill out college, financial aid and scholarship applications.

APS also offers many opportunities for students to earn college credit for free while still in high school and even earn an associates degree! These programs reduce the amount of time and expense families spend on a college education. Some of our innovative student options include:
