ACHS P.E. Teacher Earns National Recognition

Clayton EllisThe  American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance recently named Aurora Central High School physical education teacher Clayton Ellis the winner of the Honor Award, which will be presented at the 2013 AAHPERD National Convention Exposition in Charlotte.

Ellis, who also serves on the Colorado Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance, was nominated last summer by the Central District AAHPERD President, Scott Strohmeyer, who teaches at Central Missouri University. 

The Honor Award recognizes meritorious contributions by a member of the AAHPERD who displays personal integrity, exemplifies the spirit of devoted service  and has made an outstanding and noteworthy contribution to the advancement of health, physical education, recreation or dance.
