For the third consecutive year, more than 1,200 Aurora Public Schools students were honored through the University of Denver’s Rising Star program.  This program honors elementary school students from across the state for exemplary academic aptitude and character. The students, who teachers and principals selected for the recognition, were guests of honor at a recent DU men’s basketball game.

DU honored students at two different games this year, with tickets complimentary of DU and the Public Service Credit Union. The university recognized APS Superintendent Rico Munn and Deputy Superintendent William Stuart at the first and second games, respectively, and presented both with a signed game ball.

 Congratulations to these outstanding students!
