Supt. Message: Love the Bus Day

Love the BusAPS:

I want to thank each of you for your continued focus on helping our students shape successful futures. Every day presents a new opportunity for us to make a positive impact, and I am proud of the work we are doing.

I would like to invite you in recognizing our Transportation Department as we celebrate Love the Bus Day on Wednesday, Feb. 15. Students and staff will have the opportunity to greet bus drivers during school drop-offs scheduled at:

  • 10:35 a.m. – Edna and John W. Mosley P-8, 55 N. Salida Way
  • 8:20 a.m. – Altura Elementary School, 1650 Altura Blvd.
  • 7:35 a.m. – Century Elementary School, 2500 S Granby Way

This event highlights the importance of school buses, bus drivers, mechanics, paraprofessionals and other department support staff who share the responsibility of safely transporting students to and from school.

Like teachers, counselors and principals, our transportation colleagues accelerate learning for every APS student every day, and it is important that we take time to acknowledge their contributions.

Thank you for your support.
