Sixth Avenue Elementary School operates under the belief that families are key partners in education. This is why Bring Someone Special to School Day is an event that occurs two to three times a school year, giving family members the unique opportunity to join their loved ones inside the classroom.
“It’s wonderful to see parents engage with their child and see the work that they do in the classroom with our great teachers,” said Assistant Principal Dana Tucker. “Partnering with parents and providing them with a welcoming way to be part of their child’s education is invaluable to us.”
Sixth Avenue students also had the pleasure to meet two feathery friends from HawkQuest. HawkQuest organizes engaging presentations for students that feature eagles, owls, falcons and hawks at close range. They believe that education should be fun and meaningful.
Thank you Sixth Avenue and HawkQuest for providing these memorable experiences to our students!
