One of our core beliefs is that all students must have equitable access to learning opportunities, technology and environments that support them in reaching their full potential. One way we are ensuring this is through bond-funded improvements and technology updates at every school in the district.
Throughout each bond program, we closely follow the APS Board of Education policies on construction, procurement and bidding. Because of these policies, contracting best practices and careful financial management, APS saved more than $40 million from the 2008 bond program.
These savings funded dozens of additional projects ranging from roof repairs to new classroom additions, which benefited thousands of students and greatly improved teaching and learning environments.
We are grateful to the citizens of Aurora for supporting APS bond measures. Bond funds are used to make improvements at every school in APS and benefit every student. To learn more about bond projects, visit bond.aurorak12.org
