In APS, we believe that student and staff safety is essential to our vision that every student shapes a successful future. We also encourage students to share their views on important issues as part of their learning and school culture. Mrachek Middle School staff recently exemplified this by providing their students with a positive and equitable platform on campus to comfortably express their views on school safety.
Mrachek faculty and staff collaborated with students to organize an assembly called “Voices for Change” in honor of the victims of the shooting in Parkland, Florida. A diverse group of students shared their passionate views about school safety and the need to show kindness and respect to others.
