ESPN: Colorado shooting survivor living out NFL dream

Zack Golditch with Aurora Public Schools Superintendent Rico Munn

Former Gateway High School football player Zack Golditch had been diligently working toward this moment for years. After a successful four years playing at Colorado State University, Golditch hoped to be selected in the 2018 NFL draft.

Golditch didn't hear his name called during the draft, but he did sign as an undrafted free agent with the Los Angeles Chargers. That alone is an amazing accomplishment! However, this story is about much more than football. It's about a person with an unwavering positivity and the will to persevere through the most difficult of challenges.

In July 2012, Golditch was shot in the neck during the Aurora theater shooting. ESPN features Golditch's amazing recovery and showcases his determination to continue to play the game he loves at its highest level.
