Community Partners Grant Crawford Kids a New Playground

Crawford Elementary School students, staff, families and community members recently gathered to celebrate the Cougars’ new playground and outdoor learning site!

Thanks to a generous grant from Great Outdoors Colorado, the school was able to purchase new swings and new nature-themed playground equipment for preschool and primary-grade students. The project also features a cool outdoor classroom and a walking trail that wraps around the playground premises.

Representatives from GOCO and Adams County were in attendance and had a chance to witness the joy each addition has brought to the students. Principal Jennifer Passchier, accompanied by student and parent speakers, acknowledged the donors for their partnership, contributions and dedication to the project.

As detailed in the APS 2020: Shaping the Future strategic plan, we believe community partnerships provide vital resources and opportunities for students and families. We thank everyone who made this possible! The project will have a positive impact on students for generations to come.
