APS Welcomes New Educators to Aurora

With a fresh school year right around the corner, Aurora Public Schools is gearing up for the return of students and staff.

More than 300 new educators came together at Hinkley High School to learn about the district’s educational culture and what to expect with the coming 2018-19 school year.

When asked why she chose APS, Monica Gomez, a new special education teacher eager to open her classroom door to students at Clyde Miller P-8, said “I am a product of APS and want to help special education students achieve the same success as I did.”

Back-to-school enthusiasm is at an all-time high and our new crop of educators are ready and prepared to take on the new school year.
