Supt. Message: Happy Thanksgiving 2018!

APS:

It is hard to believe that the Thanksgiving holiday is already upon us. During this season of reflection, I can’t help but think about how fortunate we are to work and live in such a vibrant, supportive and giving community.

I have seen so many shining examples of the Thanksgiving spirit. Recently, our voters approved a $35 million mill levy to support student health, safety and learning districtwide. In addition, a caring group of fifth-grade students at Vaughn Elementary School recently organized a drive to provide school supplies for students around the world. We are also grateful to have local churches that provide food baskets for our families every year.

With so many great reasons to be thankful this season, I would be remiss without thanking each and every one of you. Before you take off to see your loved ones this holiday, THANK YOU for your relentless commitment to serving APS students and families. I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving. See you after the holiday!
