APS Students Surprised with New Bikes

Sixth Avenue’s gym was recently filled with more laughter than usual as first graders joyfully rode around on brand new bicycles, courtesy of Can’d Aid Foundation. The organization teamed up with Oskar Blues Fooderies to make the dream of owning a bike a reality.

South Middle School students were also proud recipients of free bicycles; compliments of Project reCYCLE. Over 200 bikes, helmets, locks and safety lights were distributed to 7th graders who showed improvement in academics, attendance and attitude at South.

Aurora Public Schools thanks Can’d Aid Foundation, Oskar Blues Fooderies and Project reCYCLE for ensuring our students have the tools to continue leading healthy and exciting lifestyles.
