When a large truck driven by a man wearing a Santa hat rolled up to Boston P-8 this month, students couldn't wait to see what was inside. As the doors of the truck opened, they revealed more than 500 presents, each one carefully wrapped and addressed. With big smiles, the students quickly helped bring all of the presents into the school.
Members of Southeast Community Outreach (SECOR), an APS community partner, made this joyous scene possible. This is the third year in a row for SECOR’s holiday assistance event at Boston P-8. Students submit the top three items on their wish lists and then SECOR tries to grant as many of the wishes as possible.
