Supt. Message: Welcome Back and Happy April!

APS:

Spring has officially started and with it comes new opportunities, challenges and growth. I hope you had a chance to enjoy the sun and spend some time relaxing with your family and friends during the break.

April marks the start of College and Career Success Month. We are excited to hold many activities to prepare our students for success after high school. At the APS Career Fair on April 9, our seniors will meet with local and national employers to learn about future career options. This event is taking place at the APS Professional Learning and Conference Center from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Please encourage all APS seniors who are interested to attend.

Another great opportunity for our seniors is the APS Golden Eagle Scholarship. For students who are interested in earning a bachelor's degree from CSU-Global, this scholarship will allow most recipients to attend college for free! The deadline to apply is April 5, so please encourage seniors who are interested to act quickly. As a reminder, even if a student does not receive a scholarship, all APS graduates AND staff members qualify for significantly discounted tuition rates.

Lastly, the APS Foundation is sponsoring APS appreciation nights with the Colorado Rockies on April 19 and Colorado Rapids on May 3. A portion of the ticket sales will go toward scholarships for our students. Please join us for these fun events while also helping APS students pay for college!

I know the remaining weeks of school tend to be the busiest of the academic year with state testing, graduation preparation and more. Let us continue to support each other to finish the year strong. Thank you all for your relentless efforts to accelerate learning for every APS student every day!
