APS Schools & Digital Badge Program Recognized as Leaders in Education!

Schools across Colorado competed for an award more prestigious in education than any other:  “Colorado Succeeds Prize” – an award honoring schools and educators who are reimagining education to prepare students for the future. Aurora Quest K-8, Academy of Advanced Learning and the APS Digital Badge Program were among 15 other school programs that were identified as finalists for the Succeeds Prize. APS was the only school district in Colorado to have three finalists named.

The Academy of Advanced Learning walked away with the Colorado Succeeds 2019 Transformational Impact Award in the middle school category, along with $15,000 cash prize.

All other finalists earned $5,000 each for being true champions in their region and in our state.

"The Excellence in Education finalists stand out as true examples of what Colorado schools are doing to keep pace with the changing world around us," said Scott Laband, President of Colorado Succeeds.

Thank you Colorado Succeeds and its many members for shining a light on the successes in education! And congratulations to all of our educators for making an impact in our schools and community! We couldn’t be more proud!
