Exciting changes are taking place across the landscape in eastern Aurora as the new bond-funded P-8 school continues to take shape!
Contractors broke ground last summer on the site and construction has progressed throughout the school year. The building is now enclosed and work on the interior has begun.
The APS Board of Education recently approved an attendance area boundary for the school, which is being constructed in the Harmony subdivision. The school will primarily serve students along the E-470 corridor where several new housing developments are underway. This spring, the Board is expected to vote on a name for the school.
Construction will be ongoing throughout the spring semester and the building is expected to be completed this summer. The school will be open to welcome students for the 2020-21 school year.
This new building is made possible by the generous Aurora citizens who voted to approve our $300 million bond program in 2016. To learn more about bond projects in APS, visit bond.aurorak12.org.
