AuroraTV: APS Foundation’s Gala Raises Money for College & Career Centers

The Aurora Public Schools Foundation partnered with AuroraTV to host its annual gala in a virtual format this year. The gala raised more than $227,000 which will help fund a new College & Career Center to serve students at Aurora West College Preparatory Academy and William Smith High School.

This will be the 6th College & Career Center in APS and will mean that 100% of APS high school students have access to a center.

The centers help students achieve success with their post-secondary plans. The centers have served more than 15,000 students and helped them obtain more than $120 million in scholarships since the first one opened in 2014-15.
