APS Celebrates Native American Heritage Month!

Aurora Public Schools is proud to celebrate Native American Heritage Month for the entire month of November!

Native American Heritage Month is a time to reflect on the history of the first Americans and be reminded of the preservation of their people, ways and culture. Native American Heritage Month has been celebrated since 1990 when it was enacted into law by then-President George H.W. Bush.

We encourage you to learn more about this observance and ways in which you can honor the rich ancestry and traditions of Native Americans at nativeamericanheritagemonth.gov.
