September 15 Begins Hispanic Heritage Month!

Aurora Public Schools is proud to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month from Sept.15 through Oct.15.

Hispanic Heritage Month, which began in 1988, is a celebration of the culture and traditions of students, teachers, staff and community members who trace their roots to Spain, Mexico and the Spanish-speaking nations of Central America, South America and the Caribbean.

During the 2020-21 school year, more than 56 percent of our 38,000 student population was Hispanic; the largest demographic in the district. These students represent a wide range of Spanish-speaking countries.

¡Feliz mes de la Herencia Hispana!
