How to do Business with Aurora Public Schools

The Aurora Public Schools district is the fifth largest school district out of 178 public school districts in the State of Colorado. It is located in Aurora, Colorado, the 55th largest city in the nation and the third largest in the state. It is a city on the eastern border of Denver, with a population of more than 335,000, covering nearly 144 square miles. There are 65 schools in the district: 4 preschools, 26 elementary schools, 6 P-8/K-8 schools, 6 middle schools, 1 Grades 6-12 academy, 5 comprehensive high schools, 1 online high school, 1 vocational/technical college, 1 gifted and talented K-8 school, 12 charter schools, and 1 home school support program. The total enrollment for the 2016-17 school year is more than 40,000 students.

The APS Purchasing Department acts as the district's agent in working with all businesses that supply or wish to supply materials and services to APS. While the district's 2016 bond program will spend the majority of proceeds on building improvement projects, there will be some funding to provide furniture and technology upgrades for our schools.
