Change sharing

Change sharing permissions on group Jams

Working on a Jamboard as a class and worried that a student will delete the work? You can change sharing permissions of a Jamboard using the Share button located at the top right. Simply change permission from editor to view and your Jam is safe.

Create a copy for every student

If you want every student to have their own copy that only they and their teacher can access and edit, using Jamboard in Google Classroom is for you. Simply choose the Make a copy for each student option when building your assignment and voila!

Saving a frame

Saving a frame as an image

Have the perfect frame set-up that you would like to use again? Jamboard allows you to save the selected frame as an image that you can upload later.

To do this:

  1. Open the Jamboard frame (page) you would like to save
  2. Click the three-dot menu at the top right
  3. Select Save Image As Frame

Insert an image

Insert an image

Images you want students to interact with can be inserted into a Jamboard frame by choosing the insert image button in the left-hand menu. Images can be uploaded from a device, pulled from Google Drive, or inserted directly from a Google image search.

Searching for images with a transparent background

  • Go to Google image search as usual at https://images.google.com
  • Type in your search term and run your search as normal.
  • After you get your results, click on "Tools" in the top menu to see the advanced search options.
  • In the "Color" drop down menu choose the option for "Transparent".
  • The results you get now will be images that have a transparent portion.
