Board of Education Approves the 2022-23 Boundary Recommendations
Posted on 12/01/2022

After careful consideration, the Aurora Public Schools Board of Education voted unanimously to approve the 2022-23 Boundary Recommendations, which involved the following boundary processes:

As a reminder, Aurora Public Schools established an internal boundary committee to assess the attendance areas and enrollment capacities for schools impacted by the Board-approved Blueprint APS decisions. As part of the four boundary processes, the district held multiple community engagement sessions that began in September and lasted through October to share information about proposed boundary scenarios and collect survey feedback from affected parents, staff and community members. The Board considered this feedback in reaching their decision.

In collaboration with the impacted schools leaders, the Division of Support Services, Division of Equity and Learning and the Division of Human Resources is working together to implement a master-transition plan for the impacted students, families and staff. The transition plan will be implemented over the coming weeks and months.
