Aurora voters approved a $300 million bond measure in 2016 to make improvements at every school across the district. This investment allowed us to provide approximately $280 million in building improvements and nearly $20 million for technology enhancements. The capital improvement plan began in 2017 and officially wrapped up major bond projects in 2023. You can read the 2016 Bond Program Final Report here.

Aurora Public Schools is continuing to plan for the future to ensure equitable access to learning opportunities, technology and high-quality environments that support students in powering their potential. The district is developing a preliminary six-year plan to prioritize and fund districtwide facility and technology needs. Before finalizing recommendations around a potential 2024 Bond Program that will ultimately go before the Board of Education for approval, we are seeking feedback and perspectives from students, parents, staff and community members on potential 2024 Bond Program themes. You can view the four themes here.
