Aurora Public Schools Breaks Ground on New School

Dust has already started to fly as construction begins on Aurora Public Schools' second K-8 school. Students, school officials and community members will officially break ground on the new facility on Monday, Aug. 8 at 5 p.m. The school site is located at Conservatory Parkway and Jericho Way in southeast Aurora.

I am thrilled to have the opportunity to open this new K-8 school , said Cassie Parra,

K-8 #2 principal. I look forward to partnering with our community to make this school a great place to teach and learn.

Construction will be funded with bond dollars approved by district voters in 2002. The school is scheduled to open in August 2006.
