The Aurora Public School Annual 8th Grade CareerTrek is an inspiring, interactive event where all 8th graders in the district are invited to learn about a variety of careers by engaging with professionals, participating in hands-on activities, and learning more about 21st Century Skills!

Girls Tech Camp

 

Girls Tech Camp is a unique experience supports young women as they explore careers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). In this event, students engage in hands-on learning with various technology tools, practice coding with robots and gaming, assemble circuits, design and build houses via Minecraft and so much more!

What is Your Plan?

  • Be sure you are exploring your options and taking full advantage of the opportunities that you have in Aurora Public Schools to develop skills, develop a plan, and earn some amazing credentials.

  • As you plan for high school learn about your options to earn college credits and to take part in programs like CTE Pathways, AB, IB, and Executive Internships.

  • Check out the APS Digital Badge Website to determine what 21st Century Skills you can be earning in order to take part in amazing experiences leading to possibly internships and employment.

  • Learn about the opportunities you have to earn Workforce and Industry Based Certificates at Pickens Technical College through concurrent enrollment courses allowing you to enter the workforce to immediately start your career or to provide additional income while you are in school.
