Employability Skills

While enrolled in the Multimedia Arts program, students will be expected to work on various employability skills that could be related to the industry recognized certificate/credentials listed above. See some examples of how students will work on these skills below :

  • Creativity and Innovation
    Creativity is at the heart of multimedia arts. Graphic designers, for instance, need to come up with innovative and visually appealing concepts for various projects, such as branding, advertising, or web design. They use their creativity to design unique logos, brochures, and websites that capture the attention of the target audience and convey the intended message effectively.
  • Technical Proficiency
    Proficiency with multimedia tools and software is essential in this field. Animators, for example, must be skilled in using software like Adobe After Effects or 3D modeling software to create animations and special effects for movies or video games. Technical proficiency allows multimedia artists to bring their creative visions to life and produce high-quality work.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    Multimedia projects often involve collaboration with other professionals, such as writers, video editors, or web developers. Multimedia artists need strong communication and collaboration skills to convey their ideas and work effectively within a team. CTSO Applications

Students who enroll in a course within the Multimedia Arts program have the opportunity to engage in in a CTSO. Below are some potential applications to a CTSO that student could be involved when participating in this CTE program;

  • SkillsUSA: 3-D Visualization and Animation
    This contest utilizes both written and practical exercises to evaluate the contestants’ abilities and knowledge of the field. Students create a 3-D production environment that fits the given time, resource and design constraints.
  • SkillsUSA: Audio/Radio Production
    This contest utilizes both written and practical exercises to evaluate the contestants’ abilities and knowledge of the field. Students produce a five-minute radio production such as a PSA or news story/interview.
  • SkillsUSA: Television (Video) Production
    Participants take a test, which concentrates on aspects of coding, to qualify for the semifinal round of competition. Students plan and shoot a video on location to convey the theme of the event.
