The purpose of this program is to prevent injury or illness to employees who must enter a confined space. The program trains employees how to recognize confined spaces, determine which have potentially serious hazards, and necessary actions to protect themselves when working in confined spaces.  This program applies to all work operations in the Aurora Public School District (APS) where employees must enter a confined space as part of their job duties.

The Director of Construction and Support Services or an assigned designee is responsible for the Confined Space Program, including annual review of the program.  Copies of the written program are available upon request.
