SDS / Inventory

The APS Environmental Compliance Department maintains a web-based program, SDSpro, which contains all Safety Data Sheet information for products used in the District and allows you to retrieve them quickly. The Environmental Compliance Department conducts an annual inventory at each site. From this inventory, Environmental obtains SDSs from the manufacturer and posts them on SDSpro.

A Safety Data Sheet (SDS) is designed to provide both workers and emergency personnel with the proper procedures for handling or working with a particular product. SDS's include information such as physical data (melting point, boiling point, flash point, etc.), toxicity, health effects, first aid, reactivity, storage, disposal, protective equipment, and spill/leak procedures. These are of particular use if a spill or other accident occurs.

SDSpro is a program that allows you to view or print an SDS for any product used at a site, which makes it unnecessary to keep binders of paper SDSs in your office or at your desk. The Environmental Compliance Department keeps these SDSs up to date within SDSpro so anyone in the District will have the correct information available for products. If new products are purchased, it is important to let the Environmental Compliance Department know so an SDS can be posted for immediate use. We can be reached at 303-367-3000, ext. 28682.

The following SDS search directions are available on a handy, small, laminated desk decal. If you would like to receive one for your desk, please call Environmental at x28682 or email to [email protected]. Please add the SDS link to your Favorites so it can be easily accessed in case of emergency.
