• Bully Prevention Resources for 2014-2015

APS has made a commitment to provide strategies for students, staff, parents and community members to reduce the number of bullying incidents. To help support the work that has already been done across the district we are providing a list of resources that schools can use to continue their anti-bullying work.

  • Building Respectful School Climates: ADL Webinar Series Six Free Webinars from the Leaders in Anti-Bias and Holocaust Education

  • Not In Our School http://www.niot.org/nios/about
    • Across the country, students and teachers are sharing stories, joining together and taking action to create safe schools, free from stereotypes, intolerance, and hate. They’re part of a movement called Not In Our School (NIOS). For more than a decade, Not In Our School has inspired students of all ages to develop and share innovative ways to resist bullying and promote an atmosphere of acceptance and inclusion. The Not In Our School videos, activities and resources on the website showcase the immense capacity, energy, and creativity of young people who are creating new ways to make their schools safe for everyone.
  • Partners Against Hate http://www.partnersagainsthate.org/educators/index.html
    • Partners Against Hate was a collaborative project of the Anti-Defamation League, The Leadership Conference Education Fund, and the Center for Preventing Hate, which offered promising education and counteraction strategies for young people and the wide range of community-based professionals who work and interact with youth, including parents, law enforcement officials, educators, and community/business leaders.
  • Ground Spark http://groundspark.org/respect-for-all
    • Ground Spark's Respect For All Project facilitates the development of inclusive, bias-free schools and communities by providing media resources, support and training to youth, educators and service providers.
  • Random Acts Of Kindness http://www.randomactsofkindness.org/educators
    • The Random Acts of Kindness Foundation is an internationally recognized non-profit organization founded upon the powerful belief in kindness and dedicated to providing resources and tools that encourage acts of kindness.
  • Anti Defamation League http://www.adl.org/combatbullying/
    • ADL is a leader in developing anti-bullying and anti-cyber bullying training, curriculum and resources for teens, school educators, youth providers and adult family members.
      ADL provides the tools and resources to assist people in taking action to prevent and respond to bullying and cyber bullying.
