Dear APS Community,

We are sending one final reminder to please provide your input on Superintendent Listening Tour Surveys. Even if you were unable to attend a listening session, we would love to hear from you as we plan for the future of Aurora Public Schools.

As Superintendent Michael Giles, Jr. has shared with many of you, he envisions Aurora Public Schools as truly being “The Destination District”. This means a place where:

  • Students are valued, seen, safe and are thriving academically, socially and emotionally.
  • Educators are valued, seen, safe and thriving. They want to stay in Aurora Public Schools for their career.
  • Students are proficient at all grade levels and graduates are prepared for college and/or career.
  • Parents and guardians are partners and engaged. Parents and guardians keep students here.
  • Local partnerships are enhanced and sustained, providing greater opportunities for students.
  • We recruit, hire and retain the most talented educators.

In order to truly become that Destination District, we want your input on what it means to you. Below are links to questions that ask you about the themes listed above. Please click on the survey link below that best describes your connection to Aurora Public Schools and complete the questions before the end of day on Tuesday, Oct. 31:

Thank you for your thorough and thoughtful input. Please be assured that we will be analyzing the information that you provide us to gather themes. Once we have identified the major themes and ideas, we will be following up to talk about next steps.
